Changing Credit card Processors on Cash Register Express

How do you change credit card processors on your Cash Register Express System?

We receive a lot of request from merchants and ISO's to reprogram their CRE system or their customers system. Well the good new for you is yes this can be done and it is pretty simple. If you did not know this software uses a middleware called NETePay from Datacap. You maybe using that software already or perhaps you are using a direct integration from a processor currently. The great thing about Datacap's NETePay is it pretty much works with any processor on the market. If you need to get you system switched follow the steps below.

Steps to get your pcAmerica Cash Register Express Changed to a new processor

The first thing you will want to do is contact your reseller. If you don't have a reseller that is when you would contact us and we can take over your support and help you out. Second you will need what is called a VAR sheet or sometimes called a Tear sheet to provide us. Third is you are going to need to supply us with your system's Activation Code which will allow us to obtain the unlock code for your new processor. Forth we will need to determine if you already own NETePay or if you need to buy it. Either way we load the parameters from the VAR sheet into the stage file for your NETePay and then load it into your POS system.

What Pin Pads do I use with my POS system and where do I get them?

So the topic of pin pads is complicated. There is no such thing as an off the shelf Pin Pad for any POS system for the most part. Pin Pads require encryption keys based on your processor. It is best to get your pin pads from your processor. In many cases your POS dealer like us can't order pin pads with certian encryptions. If you are using a ISO or Bank for your merchant services they should know this already, if they don't get a different one that knows what they are doing. In our dealership we prefer the merchant services to provide you with the pin pads for the simple reason that we don't want to deal with them after the fact. Remember the ISO or bank is making monthly residuals on your business, make them earn that when you need something.
